港口和航运管理系列讲座-暑期集训营

 

 

  • 项目背景:

随着经济全球化的深入发展,港口已不再是孤立的个体,正在日益成为全球供应链的节点,不仅对腹地和沿海地区产生效用,且是运输网络的一部分。腹地在很大程度上依赖于国民经济和区域经济(基于生产和服务)的物流系统。这表明海港对区域经济、国民经济和欧洲经济具有广泛的影响和战略意义。

港口有若干个子行业和子系统:海事系统(航运)、港口系统和内陆系统。海事系统涉及由船公司提供的全球性运输服务。本期讲座将涉及不同形式的系统以及其中的主要参与者和他们的服务,同时阐述这些系统的发展,其中包括改变班轮系统结构背后的驱动力,并着重探讨航运业务模式中的挂靠港决策。

海事系统通过港口与内陆系统相连接。海运物流不仅和运输活动有关,还涉及到转运,装卸和货物的存储。越来越多的货物通过标准化装载单位——集装箱来装卸。本期讲座将聚焦上述内容。

Ports are increasingly seen as nodes in global supply chains. Ports are no longer stand-alone phenomena, but they are part of a network and they have a function for forelands and hinterlands. This hinterland is to a large extent related to the national economies and the regional economic (production and services based) logistic systems. This implies that seaports have a strategic importance and a wider impact on the regional, national and European economy.

There are several subsectors and subsystems when we look to a port: maritime networks (shipping), port networks, and land networks. Maritime networks involve the worldwide transport services offered by shipping liners. The main players and their services and different types of networks are considered in the workshop. Also the development of these networks is illustrated, including the driving forces behind changing liner network structures. Particular attention is given to the business model of the shipping by considering the arguments to decide for a port of call.

Maritime networks interface with land networks via ports. Maritime logistics not only considers transportation activities, but also transshipment, handling and storage of freight. An increasing portion of freight is handled in a standard loading unit, the container. All these aspects are discussed.

  • 讲师简介:

1、Harry Geerlings

Harry Geerlingsis Professor in the Governance of Sustainable Mobility at the School of Public Administration and Sociology of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is scholar of SmartPort 2.0 (a cooperation between the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Delft University of Technology and the Rotterdam port community), chair of SmartPort@Erasmus and associate member of the RaadvoorLeefomgeving en Infrastructuur (RLi), an advisory committee for the Dutch minster of Infrastructure and Environment. For more than 25 years he is specialized in research in the domain of sustainable transport; most of this research is related to the interaction between transport, environment and spatial planning.  He holds a PhD in economics from the VrijeUniversiteit Amsterdam and is member of the PhD-school TRAIL (TRAnsport, Infrastructure and Logistics).

Harry Geerlings是荷兰伊拉斯姆斯大学公共管理和社会学院可持续交通管理的教授。他也是智慧港口2.0(伊拉斯姆斯大学、代尔夫特理工大学和鹿特丹港口界的合作组织)的学者,伊拉斯姆斯大学智慧港口的主席,RLi的准会员。RLi是荷兰基建与环境部长的咨询委员会。25年多来,Harry Geerlings专注于可持续交通领域的研究,大部分研究涉及交通、环境与空间规划之间的交互性。他毕业于阿姆斯特丹自由大学,获经济学博士学位,且是培养博士的TRAIL(Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics)学院的成员。

2、Bart Wiegmans

Bart Wiegmansis Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Delft University of Technology. He is specialized in spatial and transport economics subjects concerning maritime and intermodal freight transport. His main research interest and expertise is in performance research, cost modelling, and competition issues. He holds a PhD in economics in performance conditions of intermodal container terminals. He is a reviewer of many scientific journals and is a member of several research networks.

Bart Wiegmans是代尔夫特理工大学土木工程系的资深研究员。他专注于海上和多式联运方向的空间与运输经济学研究。他主要的研究兴趣和专长是绩效研究、成本建模和竞争问题。他获得了经济学博士学位。他是许多科学期刊的审稿人,且是若干研究机构的成员。
